PRIMO’s sliding rail is used as a guide rail at the top of cupboards, windows or doors, where glass or sliding panels need to be able to move easily back and forth. It is designed for use with secondary glazing and is typically combined with bottom profile 0566, which acts as a slide track.

The sliding glass strip – as the slide rail is also known – is used at both the top and bottom of lightweight sliding doors, glass partitions and furniture solutions. It is made from hard-wearing plastic with precise dimensions that ensure stable, quiet and smooth sliding action.

The material is easy to work with and can be fitted without the risk of splitting – ideal for both new builds and renovation projects.

The rail is fixed directly to the top of the desired frame or structure. It can be nailed, stapled or glued, depending on the substrate and the aesthetic requirements.

Here’s how:

Measure the required length and cut the rail to size if necessary using a saw or a plastic-cutting tool.
Clean the mounting surface to remove dust, grease and dirt.
Fasten the rail:
- Using nails or staples: Use small nails or a staple gun, and fix the rail at regular intervals (approx. every 10–15 cm).
- Using adhesive: Use an alcohol-based silicone or a strong mounting adhesive. Apply the adhesive in a thin line and press the rail firmly onto the surface.
Allow the adhesive to set if using this method.
Then fit the bottom profile (0566) and insert the glass or door into the system.

Tip: Always check that the glass or door is of the correct thickness in relation to the profile’s dimensions, to ensure smooth and stable operation.
