Refresh your wooden windows with PRIMO’s solid side glazing strips—a durable and effective solution that protects against wind and weather. The glazing strips are made of weather-resistant plastic that neither absorbs moisture nor dries out over time. This means you won’t have to worry about rot, mold, or ongoing maintenance, which often come with traditional wooden glazing beads.
When renovating existing windows, the solid side glazing beads provide an elegant and airtight finish that extends the window’s lifespan and ensures a beautiful result for many years to come. The beads are available in several variants, so you can find a model that fits your project perfectly—whether for doors or windows.

When installing plastic side window trim, it is important to ensure precise cuts and proper fastening to achieve a tight and neat finish.
The moldings are trimmed at both the bottom and top to match the window’s dimensions and angles.
The side window trim can also be used as top window trim, and installation is carried out in the same manner.
Always use stainless steel nails or screws to ensure long-lasting durability—and avoid dark colors, as they can cause the plastic to overheat and warp.
Installing the side glazing strip:
Cut the bottom at an angle that matches the slope of the bottom glazing channel
Measure from the bottom glass trim to the top of the window and subtract 7 mm to allow for clearance
Cut the top at a 45° bevel
Secure with stainless steel nails or screws every 15 cm and no more than 5 cm from each end
Installation as a top glass trim:
Measure the width for the top glazing bead
Cut both ends at a 45° bevel
Secure with stainless steel nails/screws every 15 cm and no more than 5 cm from each end
NOTE: We do not recommend painting the plastic moldings in dark colors.
