6168, 5 m – glass tape for grooves, gray

PRIMO Glass Strip 6168 is used when replacing sealing strips that have deteriorated and need to be replaced. The glass strip is also the solution if you have purchased new glass moldings with a 3mm groove that are not already equipped with a sealing strip.

The glass tape is PVC-free, as it is made of TPE, a plastic material known for its long service life and durability—even when used outdoors.

When replacing the glass seal, it is important to ensure thorough cleaning and proper installation to extend the window’s lifespan. Press the glass seal into the groove on the glazing bead, and then reinstall the bead. A clean groove and a new seal ensure optimal sealing and protection against moisture and drafts.

Here’s how to do it—step by step:
1. Remove the old glazing bead and the existing glazing tape.
2. Thoroughly clean the rebate of dust, dirt, and any debris.
3. Press the new glazing tape into the groove on the glazing bead.
4. Check that the tape lies flat and without any creases.
5. Reinstall the glazing bead so that it fits snugly.
6. Check that everything is properly secured and fits snugly against the pane.
