Edge profile – model 0560, transparent

PRIMO’s edge profiles have been developed with a focus on functionality and flexibility and are often used in the woodworking industry, but they are equally suitable for many other purposes. The edge profiles are made from a soft and flexible plastic material, making them ideal for straight edges, curved surfaces, glass edges and panels.

The profile protects against impact, wear and sharp edges, whilst also serving as a decorative and functional finish.

The material is moisture-resistant and can withstand temperature fluctuations, making the profile suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.

The edge profile can be glued, stuck, clamped or stapled in place – depending on the material, the installation situation and the desired finish.

Here’s how:

For installation in a groove:
- Mill or ensure there is a groove in the workpiece where the profile is to be fitted.
- Press the edge profile firmly into the groove – using a little glue if necessary for extra hold.
For gluing:
- Clean the surfaces thoroughly.
- Apply a suitable contact adhesive or plastic adhesive to the workpiece and/or the profile.
- Position and press the profile firmly into place – if necessary, hold it in position with tape whilst the adhesive cures.
For clamp fitting:
- Press the profile directly onto the edge so that it grips the material.
- Work your way along the edge, ensuring an even fit all the way round.
For clamping:
- Position the profile on the workpiece.
- Secure it with staples (use a staple gun) at suitable intervals – typically approx. every 10–15 cm.

Tip: For curved workpieces, it is advisable to heat the profile slightly with a heat gun or hairdryer to increase its flexibility.
