An easy way to lower your heating bill is to replace your old weatherstripping.

Replacement weatherstripping is used when your existing weatherstripping in doors and windows is worn out and has lost its effectiveness. Worn weatherstripping provides poor insulation, resulting in increased energy consumption.

When installing this seal, cut the profile at a 45-degree angle without cutting into the cord inside the seal. Then install the strip in the corner and press it into the groove.

Most of our clinched weatherstripping strips also have a rigid backing, which makes installation significantly easier.

Please note that the seal should not be fully compressed when the door or window is closed, as it will lose its flexibility over time and thus compromise its sealing ability.

Here’s how:

1. Clean the surface.
2. Cut the profile at a 45-degree angle, taking care not to cut into the cord.
3. Install the strip in the corner and press it into the groove.
