PVC-free soft skirting boards – 1.3 mm

PRIMO’s PVC-free soft skirting boards have been developed for professional environments where durability, hygiene and easy maintenance are key requirements in day-to-day use. The flexible skirting board creates a neat transition between the floor and the wall and adapts to minor unevenness in the subfloor.

The skirting board is quickly fitted using its self-adhesive backing and is suitable for use in schools, care homes, healthcare facilities, retail outlets, offices and other high-traffic areas. You get the same familiar benefits as with traditional soft skirting boards, now in a PVC-free solution with improved adhesion and a design that is easy to clean.

These PVC-free soft skirting boards are self-adhesive and designed for quick and easy installation without the use of
screws or nails. To ensure the best possible adhesion, it is important that the skirting board is left to acclimatise in
the room where it is to be fitted for at least 3 days, and that the room temperature is at least 18°C at
the time of fitting.

The surface must be clean, dry and even, and free from dust, grease and loose plaster. Please note that
self-adhesive mouldings do not achieve optimal adhesion on all surfaces, including sawdust wallpaper,
hessian, water-scrubbed walls and other uneven surfaces.

When fitting, it is recommended that you remove the protective film as you go along and press the moulding firmly into place with even pressure
. Do not stretch the moulding during installation. For the best-looking and most durable result
, we recommend mitre cutting at the corners.

How to fit the soft mouldings:

Temperature and acclimatisation: Store the moulding for at least 3 days in the room where it is to be fitted. The room must be at least 18 °C and thoroughly heated.
Prepare the surface: Ensure that the wall and floor are clean, dry and even. Remove dust and loose plaster. Avoid fitting onto woodchip wallpaper or uneven walls.
Acclimatise the moulding: Unroll the moulding and leave it to rest for a short while. Do not stretch the moulding during fitting.
Installation: Remove the backing film a little at a time and press the moulding firmly into place with even pressure in the direction of installation. Avoid removing the entire protective film in one go.
Corners: Cut the skirting board at the corners to prevent it from coming loose. If necessary, use extra contact adhesive at the corners.
Maintenance: The moulding can be cleaned with standard cleaning products and withstands daily washing.
